Washing Instructions

All e-cloth ® cloths and mop pads can be washed in your washing machine with low lint items (like jeans). Cold water will work, but hot water is recommended to allow the fibers to open and release dirt and grease.

Why e-cloth versus cleaning stoves and ranges with other cleaning supplies?
It makes one of the hardest cleaning chores easier for you – and chemical-free to boot.

1) ecloths pick up over 99% of bacteria!
2) When you spray cleansers in your kitchen, you invariably breath them in AND it can easily spread through the air onto anything else that's out - like maybe that bowl of fruit over in the corner.
3) Wiping up a mess with a damp e-cloth is much easier than spraying a chemical cleanser onto the surface, waiting 10 minutes for the cleanser to work, and then wiping it up
4) There is no waste
5) e-cloths are allergy-friendly and environmentally safe
The secret behind keeping your stove’s outer surfaces clean and polished? e-cloth, water and your commitment to take a minute to wipe it off after each use. Doing so doesn’t allow grease and cooking spills to build-up into a caked-on mess that takes extraordinary means (and typically unhealthy chemicals) to clean.
e-cloth’s modern fabrication creates microscopic texturing with each fiber being about 1/100 the width of a human hair. This creates millions of “cleaning edges” to penetrate and remove grease, oil, cooking spills and bacteria from any type of cook top (ceramic, enamel, stainless steel). It is a cleaning power that uses just water to clean. Better for you. Better for your family. (Not for use on electronic screens and delicate lenses.)
Cleaning naturally. Healthier – there are no harmful chemicals or fumes because e-cloth uses fiber function to clean – not a chemical reaction. The cleaned surface e-cloth leaves behind has no chemical residue.

Faster, easier cleaning – with far more cleaning fibers per square inch than common cloths enables e-cloths to remove more grime with each wipe, taking the grind out of cleaning.
Money-saving cleaning – no paper towels or cleaning chemicals to buy.  There are years of cleaning, as e-cloth performance is promised for 300 machine washings.
Eco-friendly cleaning – e-cloth eliminates paper towels carbon footprint and landfill waste, along with pollution that chemicals create.

What's the difference between the Range & Stovetop Cloth and the General Purpose Cloth?

The Range cloth is essentially the same as the General Purpose cloth EXCEPT, it has scrubbing stripes on one side. The microfiber is the same length and performance-wise, it cleans jsut as well as the General Purpose cloth.

What's the difference between the Range cloth and the Stainless Steel cloth?

Both cloths have stripes of stiffer fibers on one side of the cloth.  The stiffer fibers are essentially the same except the ones on the Range cloth are a little shorter and more tightly packed.  The stiff fibers on the Range cloth are more effective at scrubbing stubborn stuck-on-goop than those on the Stainless Steel cloth.

Why is your e-cloth leaving streaks on your glass stovetop?

There are a couple of reasons why your e-cloth is leaving streaks:

  1. I (Kate) have found that the Range & Stovetop cloth holds onto a lot more water than other e-cloths.  As such, it will leave the surface of what you're cleaning rather damp.  To eliminate streaks and waterspots on shiny surfaces like glass stovetops, follow-up with the Glass & Polishing cloth (these 2 cloths can be purchased together for slightly less money with the Range & Stovetop Pack)
  2. The cloth is dirty.  I tend to use the Range cloth for VERY greasy and dirty jobs. It's important to rinse the cloth well in hot water with a bit of soap after you use it. Then hang to dry.  Also, if you're cleaning a very large greasy mess, you may have to rinse the cloth one or more times before you're done cleaning.

Do you "need" the Range & Stovetop Cloth?

This cloth is NOT for you if you're the type of person that wipes messes on the stove/counter as they appear.  I find the General Purpose or Kitchen Cloth is better for "fresh" messes.

This cloth IS for you if you like to cook your meal and worry about stuff spilled on the stovetop afterwards. This cloth is better on dried-up and crusty messes than the other cloths.

Do you need just the Range & Stovetop Cloth OR the Pack?

Like I mentioned above, the Range & Stovetop cloth seems to hold onto a lot of water and WILL leave streaks and watermarks. If you're using this cloth on shiny counters or glass stovetops, you will most definitely want to follow up with a Glass & Polishing cloth, which comes with the Range & Stovetop Pack (you'll save a bit of money by purchasing the pack rather than the 2 cloths separately).

I got this in a pack and didn't expect to use it that much (as the kitchen cloth works great), but the scrubby part is awesome on my gas range. I use it more than expected!

This product is just ok. I would return but not worth paying return shipping. I find it not too effective at scrubbing my glass top stove. The regular cloth works better. I was hoping it would integrate material of the wonderful scrubby corner on the all purpose green kitchen cloth.

This is great for caked on messes on the range, as well as cleaning the inside glass on my oven door. The scrubbers are awesome! They even helped remove sticker gunk on my fridge!
