Washing Instructions

All e-cloth ® microfiber cloths and mop pads can be washed in your washing machine with low lint items (like jeans). Cold water will work, but hot water is recommended to allow the fibers to open and release dirt and grease.

Why e-cloth ® instead of Stainless Steel Sprays?

Cleaning instead of coating - e-cloth ® actually REMOVES dirt, fingerprints and grease instead of covering them up with layers of chemicals. Commercial sprays for stainless steel appliances work by building up layers of polish. Instead of actually cleaning the surface, these sprays add a shiney layer of chemicals to cover up the streaks and fingerprints.

Faster, easier cleaning – having far more cleaning fibers per square inch than common cloths enables e-cloths to remove more grime with each wipe, taking the grind out of cleaning.
Cleaning that saves you money – no paper towels or stainless steel cleaning chemicals to buy. There are years of stainless steel cleaning, as e-cloth performance is guaranteed for 300 machine washings.
Cleaning naturally. Healthier – there are no harmful chemicals or fumes because e-cloth uses fibers to clean – not a chemical reaction. The cleaned surface e-cloth leaves behind has no chemical residue.
Eco-friendly cleaning – e-cloth eliminates paper towels carbon footprint and landfill waste, along with pollution that chemicals create.

Why is your e-cloth leaving streaks on your stainless appliances?

This will only happen if at some point you used a spray "cleanser" on your stainless steel appliances. When you use the e-cloth, it will pick up some of the polish and leave some behind. You'll feel the cloth REALLY drag as it goes over the polish.

It's going to take a bit of elbow grease with the scrubby side of the Stainless Steel e-cloth to get rid of that polish but it's going to be worth it. If that doesn't work, I've got a few tricks up my sleeve that you can try. Just contact me and we'll work it out.

What's the Difference between the Stainless Steel Cloth and the General Purpose Cloth?

The Stainless Steel cloth is essentially the same as the General Purpose cloth EXCEPT, it's got the scrubbing stripes on one side. The fibers are the same length and performance-wise, it cleans just as well as the General Purpose cloth.

Do you "need" the Stainless Steel Cloth?

The scrubbing stripes on the Stainless Steel cloth are meant for BRUSHED stainless steel. The little scrubbers get into all the little grooves and lift the dirt out. So, if your appliances aren't Brushed, then you may not need this cloth. That being said, I don't own any Stainless appliances but I've still found plenty of uses for this cloth.

I guess I'd say, if you don't have Brushed stainless steel appliances, then I'd just go with a General Purpose cloth (especially if you can take advantage of our occasional 2 for 1 sales).

Do you need the Stainless Steel Cloth or PACK?

The stainless steel cloth, when used damp, will leave moisture on the surface. Moisture will result in water spots or streaks. To avoid spots and streaks, I recommend following up with a Glass & Polishing cloth. You can save a bit of money by purchasing these two cloths as a package instead of separately.

I got this in a multi-pack. Works well, but haven't used the scrubby part (after the Universal Stone for really dirty spots). I think the range/stove cloth would work probably as well, as the bristles are just a little longer than this cloth.
